RN’s and LPN’s are eligible to apply for Florida nurse licensure by endorsement :

  1. If they hold a valid license to practice nursing in another state or U.S. territory, or When they have successfully completed the State Board Test Pool Examination (SBTPE) or the NCLEX, or When they have actively practiced nursing in another state, jurisdiction, or U.S. territory for 2 of the preceding 3 years without any criminal history or having his or her license acted against by any licensing authority.
  2. Applicants must: Submit a license application with the appropriate fees, payable to the Florida Board of Nursing. Schedule a fingerprint appointment with a Livescan service provider; once completed, fingerprints are submitted electronically to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. Contact licensing board(s) where their initial and active licenses are held and request verification be sent to the Florida Board of Nursing.
  3. *A fee of $110 is required for Florida licensure by endorsement; fees must also be paid to LiveScan service providers for fingerprinting.
