As with any nursing career, all nursing students must complete their Bachelor of Science in Nursing and/or receive their Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing school. Upon graduation, all aspiring nurses must pass their N-CLEX exam to receive their nursing license . If you have obtained your license in your home state, which is a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state, you will be able to travel and work in other NLC states. If your original nursing license is not a part of the nurse licensure compact , you will be required to get an additional state license.
